AYAT AL KURSI AND ITS MYSTERIES

The demon never enters a house where surah Al Baqara is recited.” (Imams Muslim, Ahmed and Tirmidhi).

Thus the recitation of the verse of the Throne and Surah Al Baqara preserves from Satan (Sheitan) and makes our lives at home an atmosphere full of well-being, well-being and serenity. Its recitation preserves the house and hearth from the accursed and horrible demon.

Koran

This is how Ubay ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger ﷺ asked: “What is the best verse that is in the Book of Allah?” He replied: “Allah and His Messenger are the most knowledgeable”. As he repeated this question without having any answer, he replied: “ It is the verse of the Throne ”. Then he added: “May the acquisition of science be easy for you, O Abu al Moundhir. By him who holds my soul in His hand, this verse has one tongue and two lips to celebrate the glory of Allah at the Throne."

Ayat Al Kursi has the most captivating mysteries. These mysteries calm, heal, protect, defend, haunt and possess. In an authentic hadith narrated by Muslim, the Prophetﷺ once said to him: “O Abu Mundhir! Do you know what is the most sublime verse of the Quran that you remember? I replied, “Allah and His Messenger know this better than anyone. He repeated his question several times. I answered finally: it is the verse of the Throne: “Allah! No divinity apart from him, the living, the self-subsisting…” (Qur'an 2/255), he patted me on the chest and said: “May your knowledge be beneficial to you, Ö Abû Mundhir! ".

An-Nasai reported in his book "Al-Sunan al-Sughra" that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever recites Ayat Al Kursi at the end of each prescribed prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise, if this is not death. ( Al-Albâni qualified this hadith as authentic).

THE MERITS OF Ayat AL KURSI

Imam Al Suyuti has collected forty hadiths on the merits of the Throne Verse. Here are a few :

1. Ayat AL KURSI PROTECTS ONE WHO RECITES IT FROM THE DJINNS

Ubay ibn Ka'b, companion of the Prophet Muhammadﷺ, reported that he had a container full of dates which he kept an eye on from time to time. Noting that the quantity of dates had diminished, he began one evening to watch the place. Suddenly, he saw a beast the size of a young teenager appear. Ubay ibn Ka'b then continues his account by saying: I saluted and this beast returned the salutation (Assalam). I said: Who are you? Are you a jinn or a human? She told me: a jinn. I replied: Show me your hand. She handed it to me, and I noticed that her hand had dog hair. I said: Is this how jinns are created? The beast replied: The jinns know that there is none among them more terrible than me. I said: What made you do what you did? The beast replied: I have been told that you are a man who likes to give alms. So we wanted to touch your food. I asked: What protects us from you? The beast replied: It is Ayat Al Kursi which is found in Surah Al Baqara (the Cow). The next morning, Ubay ibn Ka'b reported this fact to the Prophet Muhammadﷺ who told him this: “This jinn speaks the truth, the pervert, although he is a liar. » Listed by An-Nassa°î, Abû Y'alâ, Ibn Hibbân, Abu l-Shaykh, Tabarânî, Al-Hakîm, Abû Nu'aym and bayhaqî)

2. NOTHING COMES BETWEEN Ayat AL KURSI AND ALLAH

No veil is interposed between God and Ayat Al Kursi as well as the introductory sura (Al Fâtiha) and verses 18, 26, 27 of sura Al-Imrane (The Family of Imrane). They are thus suspended from the throne of Clement . Ali (Radhia Allahu 'anhu) said: "Surat al-Fatiha (The Opening), Ayat al Kursi and verses 18, 26 and 27 of surat al-'Imran (The Family of 'Imran) are suspended (on the Throne) and nothing comes between them and God. They say to God: Are you bringing us down to Earth, to the one who disobeys you? God said to them, “I swear by Myself! None of My servants repeats to you, at the end of each prayer, without Me making Paradise the place of his stay, without Me making him dwell in the Sacrosanct Abode, without Me looking at him seventy times each day with My inner Eye, without Me granting him every day the satisfaction of seventy needs, the least of which is forgiveness and without Me protecting him from his enemy and making him triumph over him. This Tradition is listed by Ibn al-Sunnî, Al-Shahami, Ibn al-Jawzi and Suyûtî.

3. THE THRONE VERSE IS EQUIVALENT TO A QUARTER OF THE QURAN

Anas ibn Malik (may God be pleased with him) reports: "The Messenger of God once said to one of his companions: "O So and so! Are you married? The man replied: No, I do not possess anything to be able to marry me. He said to him: You know Sura Al Ikhlas (Pure Worship) by heart, don't you? The man replied: "Certainly, yes. He said to him: It constitutes a quarter of the Quran. Then he said to him: You know Sura Al Zalzalah (The Shaking) by heart , don't you? The man replied: 'Certainly, yes. He said to him: It constitutes a quarter of the Quran. Then He said to him: You know by heart the Surah Al Nasr (The Help) , do not you? The man replied: ``Certainly, yes. He said to him: It constitutes a quarter of the Quran. Then he said to him "You know Ayat Al Kursi by heart , don't you? The man replied: 'Certainly, yes. He said to him: This verse constitutes a quarter of the Quran . Then he said to him: 'Marry, get married, get married (three times)". This Hadith is listed by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal.

Al Hassan Ibn Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: “I said: O Messenger of God! What does the one who recites Ayat Al Kursi at the end of the prescribed prayer get? The Messenger of God, Peace and Blessings on Him, said to me: He is under the protection of God until the next prayer ”. (Reviewed by At-Tabarani).

He repeated his question several times. I answered finally: It is the verse of the Throne. He then said to me: Congratulations on your science, O Abul Mundhir! By Him who holds the fate of my soul, this verse has one tongue and two lips that sanctify the King at the foot of the Throne. The Prophetﷺ's daughter, Fatima Zahra -may God be pleased with her- reports: “As her delivery approached, the Prophetﷺ ordered Oum Salama and Zaynab Bint Jahch to go to the headboard of his daughter Fatima Zahra and to recite on her Ayat al Kursi , verse 3 of sura Yunus as well as the verses of the last two suras of the Koran”. If you knew what it contains, you would never neglect it. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “ Ayat Al Kursi was given to me from a Treasure buried under the Divine Throne and no one received it before me! ". Ali (Radhia Allahu 'anhu) added: "Since I heard these words from the Messenger of Allahﷺ I have never fallen asleep without reciting this verse". A Hadith recorded by Al-Daylami.

10. A REWARD TO THOSE WHO RECITE THE END OF EVERY PRESCRIBED PRAYER

God inspires in the heart of the one who recites this verse at the end of each compulsory prayer. He also receives the equivalent of a martyr's reward.

Abu Musa Al Ash'ari reports: "The Prophet ﷺ said this: Allah Almighty revealed to Musa (Moses) to recite Ayat Al Kursi at the end of each prescribed prayer, because to him who recites it at the end of each prescribed prayer, God gives him this: a heart like that of people who devote themselves to dhikr (invocation of God), a reward equivalent to that of the Prophets and a work like that of the righteous. The regular recitation of this verse can only be observed by a prophet or by a righteous man whose heart God has tried in Faith to destine him for martyrdom. »

AYAT AL KURSI IN FRENCH:

God! No divinity apart from Him, the Living, the Self-subsisting ''(al-Qayyum)''. Neither drowsiness nor sleep seizes Him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth. Who can intercede with him without his permission? He knows their past and their future. And, of His science, they embrace only what He wills. His Throne ''(Kursi)'' overflows the heavens and the earth, the keeping of which costs him no trouble. And he is the Most High, the Most Great.

Meditating on these merits, secrets and benefits should encourage us to recite the verse of the Throne regularly in order to feel the presence of Allah, the Most High, the Immense.

May Allah the Almighty reward all Muslim men and women who have stuck to their faith until death. Amin 🤲🏼
